During May 2024, 1 financial institution was admitted as CIPS Direct Participant. 19 financial institutions were admitted as CIPS Indirect Participants, among which 1 is located in the Chinese Mainland and 18 are located overseas. 1 CIPS Indirect Participant withdrew.

As of May 2024, CIPS has 1536 participants with 142 as Direct Participants and 1394 as Indirect Participants.

Among Indirect Participants, 1039 participants are from Asia (including 564 from Chinese Mainland), 238 from Europe, 50 from Africa, 28 from North America, 21 from Oceania, and 18 from South America. CIPS participants are located in 115 countries and regions around the world. The actual business covers more than 4,500 banking institutions in 183 countries and regions around the world.
